Canadian Pediatric Global Trigger Tool (CPTT): First Comprehensive Tool for Detecting Adverse Events in Hospitalized Children

Building upon the IHI’s Global Trigger Tool for hospitalized adults, the Canadian Pediatric Global Trigger Tool (CPTT) is the first comprehensive trigger tool validated to detect adverse events in hospitalized children and thereby inform quality improvement activities. This tool was launched at the Canadian Association of Paediatric Health Centres' annual meeting in October 2008, and offers new possibilities for making health care safer for children.

Join colleagues from CHCA Owner Hospitals on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. CST for a 90-minute presentation on this new trigger tool by Anne Matlow, M.D., Medical Director of Patient Safety and the Director of the Infection Prevention and Control at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.

Register Online for this event prior to November 20.
